Artist biography: 

Ruth Carlson-Friberg’s art work spans a variety of mediums including oil, watercolor and pastels. She has attended art workshops in pastels by Frank Frederico and Timothy Parks and has studied under prominent area artists, including watercolor realist Lee Bean. Carlson-Friberg is a long-time member of the Western Maine art group, who has exhibited her art work at numerous Maine venues including the Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center, the Norway Memorial Library, and Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, as well as the Hupper Gallery and the Waterville Library. In addition, the artist has won numerous purchase awards at the Norway Sidewalk Art Show and also won purchase awards in the Winthrop art Show. In addition to being awarded purchase awards in the Farmington Art Show, Carlson-Friberg also won best of show.
