Melissa Fuller

I have resided in Maine all my life and have
always had a great interest in art. I started with portraiture when I was an
adolescent; I found it quite intriguing. There is something wonderful and
inspiring to be captured from an individual. Perhaps, it's the uniqueness of their
personality, their features, or who they are. When rendered successfully, a
portrait seems to take the essence of who an individual is, what they are like,
and immortalizes them into a piece of art. In addition, it creates a fantastic
heirloom to be passed down throughout generations; a truly amazing creation.  

After years of portraiture I began developing a
new ardency for oil painting. Of course, motivated by Maine's beauty, I attempt
to recreate moments in time I believe to be precious. More importantly, I
aspire to communicate them with accuracy, hoping others will enjoy them as much
as I do. For this purpose, I am developing a website (currently under
