Blend Into Fall: Mixed Media Show
Oil paintings, watercolors, illustrations, metal sculpture
and more will be featured in the this 2nd Western Maine Art Group members show and
sale of the 2010 season. The exhibit will officially open at the Lajos Matolcsy Arts
Center (the MAC) at 480 Main Street in Norwaywith a refreshment
and wine reception on Friday, August 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., as part of the
First Friday gallery hop which includes several other exhibit locations in the
area.
A wide range of styles from abstract to realism in two and
three dimensional formats will be represented in works of WMAG Members:
Stay out for the evening and visit the rest of the First
Friday circuit: the Commons Art Collective, the Frost Farm Gallery, Cafe Nomad and the
Norway Memorial Library, the Painted Mermaid, the Main Bookhouse and the McLaughlin Garden
in South Paris.
The WMAG will hold a variety of exhibits at the MAC throughout
the spring summer and fall, including a contemporary art show, a fiber art show
and am open juried show for all artists and genres, with judging and prizes.
