Best of Western Maine: Juried Art Show

The finest artists of Western Maine will be featured in a special juried exhibit at the Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center (MAC) at 480 Main Street in July. The show will open with a formal reception Friday July 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. and will be on exhibit until Aug 2, 2010.

Artists of all genres including painting, photography, sculpture, fiber and glass arts, and wood carving are being invited to submit up to four art pieces for consideration by a jury comprised of directors serving on the board of the nonprofit Western Maine Art Group.

Submissions of images for consideration can be emailed to westernmaineartgroup@gmail.com, mailed to P.O. Box 122, Norway ME 04268 or originals can delivered in person to the MAC at 480 Main Street. Submissions must be received by Monday July 5. Submissions accepted for exhibit must be originals and may or may not be for sale. Accepted submissions must be delivered to the MAC by Thursday July 12 for hanging.
