Raffle for an Original Lee Bean Watercolor Painting

NORWAY - The Western Maine Art Group (WMAG) has received a wonderful
donation of an original Lee Bean watercolor painting from the collection of
Suzanne Grover which will be raffled in December as a fundraiser for the
nonprofit arts group. The painting is currently on exhibit at the Lajos Matolcsy
Arts Center (MAC), the historic schoolhouse gallery owned by the WMAG at 480
Main Street in Norway. 

This beautiful still-life of a garden cottage on Monhegan Island
is a fund raiser to help keep the Lajos Matolcsy Art Center in Norway open for
the winter months to accommodate the many people who are taking art classes. Funds
will also be used to help with the constant improvements to the
historic gallery, which has become a center for the arts in the
Western Maine area. 

Do not miss this fabulous opportunity to own an original Lee Bean.
A student of Hungarian Fine Arts Professor Lajos Matolcsy, Lee’s paintings hang
in many homes and businesses in Maine as well as all over the country. Lee is
one of the founders of the WMAG and her outstanding talents won her many awards
over the years. The drawing for the painting will be held during the WMAG
Annual Holiday Party on December 6, 2009. A limited number of tickets are being
sold. You do not have to be present to win. 

Tickets prices are 1 for $5, 6 for $10, and 15 for $20.You
may purchase your tickets at the Lajos Matolcsy Art Center at 480 Main
Street on Thursday, Friday, or Sunday from 1-5 and on Saturday from 10-4. In
Norway, tickets are also available at Frost Farm Gallery, Books N Things and 100 Aker Wood. In the
Waterford-Bridgton area tickets are also available from WMAG Board Member Nancy
